Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address and authentication credentials when you sign up via email, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In.
- User-generated content: Notes, reflections, highlights, bookmarks, and audio recordings you create within the app.
- Audio processing data: Audio recordings are processed on your device for transcription and summaries using on-device AI models (Whisper and llama.cpp). Raw audio is not sent to external servers.
- Usage data: Anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the app experience.
On-Device AI Processing
Grace Journal uses on-device AI models for transcription (Whisper) and text summarization (llama.cpp). These models run entirely on your phone. Your audio recordings and generated transcriptions are processed locally and never leave your device for AI processing.
How We Use Your Information

- Synchronize your data across devices via your account

Data Storage and Security
Account data and user content (notes, highlights, bookmarks) are stored securely using Supabase cloud infrastructure. Audio transcriptions and summaries are synced to your account for cross-device access. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Children's Privacy
Grace Journal is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
